Performance overview

The Elite Series Fog Lamps are the first OE-style fog housings from this line that are built from the ground up for true performance rather than just appearance. They use a patent-pending optic, multi-die automotive emitters, and high-power full-copper circuit boards to achieve up to about five times the output of typical halogen fog lamps, giving a substantial real-world improvement in bad weather. This design still packages into an OE-style housing that fits factory locations for an easy upgrade.

Beam pattern and legality

The custom-engineered optic creates an extremely wide, asymmetric beam that reaches about 100 degrees across, much wider than most aftermarket fogs, while maintaining a very smooth pattern. There is a sharp cutoff to control glare to oncoming traffic and a slight color flicker at the very top edge of the beam, similar to high-end OEM optics, and the pattern is engineered to meet SAE F3 fog light standards for legal on-road use when aimed correctly. Backlight functionality

Every Elite Series Fog Lamp includes an integrated amber backlight that acts as an accent or marker light. This backlight fully illuminates the main lens in amber and can be wired to any constant 12-volt source using the included tap connector, so you can tie it into parking lights, DRLs, or another circuit according to your preference. For compliance, the system is designed so that the backlight automatically turns off when the main fog beam is activated, and local regulations should be checked for acceptable use cases.
